PCT Day 22 – An 8:00 scramble
This is by far the comfiest bed I’ve woke up in on trail. But I was wide awake at 6:30. I only planned to hike 4-8 miles today, so I had all day to enjoy the town and do chores.

PCT Day 21 – A slushy 6k to Wrightwood
Cowboy camping was a bad choice. I woke up at 10:30 pm to a sleeping bag covered in water droplets. It must have already misted. The zipper side of my sleeping bag was damp so I squeezed against the other side and went back to sleep.

PCT Day 20 – A Cloudy Mcwalk
My tent was soaking wet but all of my gear was dry inside. Just as it should be. Speaker had a puddle in his tent and his gear was soaked. The trials of the trail come at anytime and can happen to anyone. No matter how prepared or knowledgeable you are.

PCT Day 19 – Pizza and a Storm
The crisp sound of flowing river through the gorge continued all morning. And the sun peaked over the mountain tops to warm my skin.

Most hikers are thankful for any help, and move on quickly if someone seems irritated. Not wanting to step on any toes. But one hiker had a different relationship with town people along the trail. He flipped the most apathetic exchanges into positive experiences.

I woke up on a kitchen floor. There’s a first time for everything. I had an hour before my ride to the trail. So I laid in bed and relaxed for a few more minutes.

PCT Day 15 – Ice Cream Cake
I woke up cold. But a hot breakfast was only 10 miles away! I started moving around 6 and the rest of the crew woke up shortly after. I had a bit of water left and filtered chef’s extra. The bottom of the plastic bag was frozen.

PCT Day 14 – Struggling up the two day climb
I woke up early. The crew was cowboy camping in a sandy spot surrounded by rocks. The sun woke me up and I ate a granola bar and took off at 6:30.
